Despite acrylic's versatile nature many beginners face frustration for one reason. Acrylics will not teach them how to paint better. Too often marketers sell the virtues of acrylics, but the beginner needs to learn how to paint. It seems all you need to do is buy some acrylics and start painting. Not true.

Yes your painting can only improve if you follow the right steps. But remmerb that practice is the secret. Practice each demonstration as soon as possible. It is entertaining to watch painting demonstrations. I love them too. But unless you practice the painting the lesson is limited to entertainment. My real aim is to make beginners start with confidence. Yes there will be mistakes, but that is good. Mistakes mean opportunities to grow in confidence. One of the pleasures of teaching art is to see an artist's confidence develop.
