The Key to Unlocking Your Painting Success (Video Tutorial)

The language of painting explained.
How often have you asked yourself how you can improve your painting quickly? What are the secrets of professional artists? Why is it so difficult to make improvements to your painting? If you have had these thoughts then you are in good company. I was no different. It took me ages to figure my way through the maze of information. Then it clicked for me. Over the years I have been teaching the exact lessons I learned.

I call this the Language of Painting. In this article and free video lesson I will explain it all to you too. Join me.
Why a Language?
Yes, I am still talking about painting. The thing is, painting is not easy. I do compare it to learning a language because the learning curve can seem steep. But once the fundamentals click and you can speak to someone in their language you open up a world of possibilities. You can also reach the heart of another person by speaking their language. It is a powerful gift and worth the effort.

Learning to paint is very similar, because once you get the hang of it you reach many people through a shared bond. The love of painting and what you communicate through your art. You clearly appreciate the power of images and the message they can carry. But there is a problem.

Great Expectations
Many beginners jump into painting with enthusiasm, but when it gets difficult many give up. There is no easy way to out it actually. Yes I tried to learn French and I gave up. That is a tough language! I guess I did not have the passion for it after all. But what if I did want to learn French real bad? Then I would need to learn it properly. The grammar, vocabulary and those annoying tenses. The same thing applies to painting.

I worked out my teaching system based on solid gold lessons carried on from artists over many decades. From the Impressionist Masters to students of painting and subsequent teachers. Not only do I love painting, but I love to help others with their painting too. Frankly creating your art is one of the most important human endeavors there is. Without creativity we are not living fully.

Learn to Paint with Impact
This course is all about introducing beginners to the language of painting. Without these fundamental of painting we can only guess and grasp at what we think makes up a painting. Natural talent takes us so far. No matter how much sound I make I cannot speak French unless I put those sounds into the tight order. Okay, enough with the metaphor - let's get down to painting!

Watch the Painting Demonstration
I held a live painting demonstration for my students recently to illustrate the process I follow. I teach the various steps in Learn to Paint with Impact in detail. The video that you can view for free is about a landscape, but the lessons learned can be applied to any subject. Portraits, landscapes or still life. All have the same fundamentals and it starts with observation, understanding and simplification. Then the colors and brushwork determine your own direction. Your unique style.

I encourage you to try this system out if you are feeling stuck. It is worth every bit of time and effort. Enjoy the journey!
